#102 Libyan Desert Glass**

$175.00
17.7 gr. 2 x 1 1/2". Libyan Desert Glass is a naturally occurring glass made of silicon dioxide or silca (used in all of our glass products we use daily). It is generally found in the Libyan Desert - the Western Desert of west Egypt. Studies of the glass indicate that it is at least 29 million years old. Based on the traces of iridium found on the glass, research seems to conclude that the glass was formed as a result of a natural meteor or a comet impact. **
