We also carry meteorites and tektites from around the universe. Loose stones and cabochons for making your own jewelry. Then there is our mineral room, just the way they came out of the earth, from all reaches of the world. At our store you will also find a very large selection of fossils ranging in price from $1.50 to $2,000.00; trilobites, ammonites, nautiloids, fish, petrified wood slabs, dinosaur teeth, dinosaur eggshells, etc. Amber rings, pendants, necklaces, and some with bugs in them. On staff we have a geologist, paleontologist and gemologist.

We offer several different in house items; beading, Clay by Pat, and Geode/stone cutting and an historic map of San Diego.

Beading) We have a large selection of gemstone beads. We have single beads to 32" necklaces strung on silk and knotted between each bead.  We do our own stringing, we offer custom work, and restringing is also available.

Clay by Pat) This is a very unique no fire ceramic frame or cap set that looks and feels like leather. Clay's by Pat are set on fossils, minerals, gems, or meteorites to name a few. You can send or bring in your own pieces to be set for pendants as well.

Geode cutting) We offer geode and stone cutting.

Map) We also have for sale an historically accurate “rancho map” of old San Diego in the days of the silver dons. This is a map we produce and it shows an historic rancho’s of San Diego County as it was in the 1870’s. You can see old stagecoach routes and many of the old mine & mineral locations.

We've opened a new Chinese import store right across the way from Miner's Gem's and Mineral's called Gum Saan. There we have a nice collection of oriental works of art, from Peking glass reverse painted snuff bottles, to Chinese zodiac pieces, jade pieces, netsuke (Bone, wood), cricket cages, temple tiles, apothecary chests and a wide variety of pearls set in ear rings, bracelets and necklaces.
